The Lord Birkett Memorial trophy has been placed number 8 just ahead of the Prince of Wales Cup but lagging slightly behind the Fastnet. Of course committed readers to the web site will already know that the Birkett is the must do event.

Ullswater Yacht Club is situated on the North East shore of the beautiful Lake Ullswater, about 2 miles from Pooley Bridge on the Howtown Road. Being at the northern end of the Lake District National Park Ullswater Yacht Club is unrivaled in its facilities both on and off the water.
Ullswater Yacht Club was founded in 1958 and has a lake frontage of 200m, with easy access for both dinghies and keelboats, and a sailing area, which is both sheltered and challenging, covering 7 miles by 1 mile at its widest point.
Club Objective
To promote and facilitate the sport of sailing, both racing and cruising, on Ullswater, compatible with the preservation of the natural beauty and serenity of the area.
