As the sailing season at Ullswater Yacht Club draws to a close, over thirty youngsters entered the last junior event of the season, finishing the end of another successful season of racing.   After which the Cadet and Junior sailors plus their families attended the end of season Prize Giving and Dinner.  This year saw more youngsters than ever qualifying for the cadet & junior series, which has been running throughout the year.
Sean Brooks, Junior Representative for Ullswater Yacht Club said "The aim of the Cadet and Junior Fleets is to have fun on the water.  UYC provides an excellent environment for this, and enables youngsters to develop their sailing skills".
The fleets consisted of Junior sailors (under 18s) in an open handicap fleet, including Lasers and Mirrors and Cadets (under 15s) sailing Toppers. With both fleets showing continued growth in the number of entries.
