There are many different classes of cruiser on Ullswater.  There are a restricted number of Club moorings for these but also Private ones available in various areas of the lake.  Generally, Ullswater Members will be in 1 of 4 bays,  Club Bay, North Bay, Sharrow Bay or Eusmere.  The club tends to restrict the size to a maximum of 26ft.

My cruiser is quite unusual. It is a 24ft Hawksbill built by Robert Preston. It is has a triple keel and a 10hp Yanmar diesel inboard engine. Some time ago it suffered quite a lot of damage and it was bought by Peter Ward who took the wreck home and spent 7/8OO hours refurbishing the whole boat. Peter's connection with boats and sailing goes back a great many years and his skill is reflected in the work he did on the Hawksbill. I subsequently bought the boat from him 2 years ago and it is now moored in North Bay. When buying the boat I asked him the name of the boat and he said "what's the name of your wife", "Lesleyann" I replied to which he said, "There you are, that's the boats name."
