Looking for somewhere to sail in the Lake District? Look no further than Ullswater, one of the most stunning lakes in the UK.

We are located at the northern part of this seven-mile lake, and being only 10 minutes from the M6, we are the most accessible.

Whether its an introduction to sailing, RYA training, or competitive racing your after, we have it all. And by the way, if you are a member of UYC you can camp for free in the Club grounds.

THE north’s most prestigious long distance race, the Lord Birkett Memorial Trophy, was held at Ullswater Yacht Club on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3. After last year’s Sunday race was cancelled because of gale force winds, this year the event suffered from the opposite - a lack of wind. Two races were held and consistency was the key to success with the top four boats overall gaining single-figure placings on both days despite the testing windless conditions.
