Many competitors decided not to launch. As the week went on the weather improved and sailing conditions calmed down to a pleasant Force 2-3 on Friday.
Final positions: The Flying Fifteen fleet attracted 10 entries with Dave and Sue Giles the clear winners. Ian and Pat Priestley came third. A total of 44 boats took part in the Handicap Series. Neil Thompson in his Streaker did not sail three races due to the conditions, but came 6th out of 44 boats in his best result.
