FLOOD DAMAGE UPDATE: 19th Feb

We had a very constructive meeting yesterday with the claim manager and the professionals who are helping us with the repair of the clubhouse. The scope of the repairs has been agreed and we can now proceed to a more detailed specification and costing. We are also closer to placing an order for the temporary buildings that we shall require through this year’s sailing season. At its meeting on 27 February, the Management Committee will focus on the plans for the season: there is a lot to do before sailing begins in just over five weeks’ time.

The Volvo RYA Champion Club Scheme

The RYA, in association with Volvo, operates an extensive junior and youth racing programme designed to identify young British sailors and prepare them for the highest levels of national and international competition. The programme consists of six innovative programmes. They form a step-by-step path for young sailors to follow, allowing them to go as far as they aspire on the road to success. The first stage of this development is perhaps the most important and is the Volvo RYA Champion Club Programme.
